Master Pendants

In the times of old Samoan pendants of various shapes and forms were worn to signify the status of the individual wearer. Now, as then, these Samoan pendants are carefully hand carved from bone, sea shell and precious woods. A Samoan pendant had to be given or conferred on an individual as a gift, thereby symbolizing the value of the wearer to the strength and the welfare of the larger village and ‘aiga’ or family.

Janet’s Samoan Pendants are unique throughout the Pacific in its size, variety, quality of work and authenticity. The Samoan Pendant collection contains both ancient carvings (Lapita carvings) and more modern interpretations of traditional forms.
